Georgia Center for Continuing Education Youth Programs

You'll learn the basics of perspective and architectural scale drawings, examine the various delivery systems for houses (water, electricity, heating, and cooling), and work individually to create a scale model of a house that you design. We'll look at traditional and experimental designs from past and current architects and take a close look at the environmental costs and opportunities that are available in building design. You'll leave this program with an understanding of how designers create and use a pattern language, and a better idea of what it takes to become a professional in the field.
