2013 | Planning and Land Use for Economic Developers
Local government planning and land use play a significant role in economic development efforts in Georgia. This class will outline the essential aspects of planning and zoning in the state and how local governments and economic developers can work together to enhance quality of life. Through case studies and discussion, participants will understand the research on land use patterns and development that increases business revenues, entices business location, draws talent, and builds community.

- Examine planning and land use regulation requirements in Georgia.
- Outline zoning types and processes.
- Describe how planning & land use impact economic development.
- Summarize placemaking and walkable development types that build community.
Notes
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
- 90% refund (10% Service Charge) if cancelled greater than 14 days before the class
- 75% refund (25% Service Charge) if cancelled between 7 and 14 days before the class
- No refund if cancelled fewer than 7 days before the class
