This course will focus on topics important to the purchasing process, from determining needs to receipt of purchased goods and services.  The course will also cover alternative purchasing methods, required documentation, and ethics.

Course Outline

Please note there are two methods to register for this course. Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • recall the overview of governmental procurement

  • list the components of the purchasing cycle

  • recall the critical components of solicitations

  • recite purchasing rules and regulations

  • know how to purchase through the State of Georgia on state contracts

  • recall the legal requirements of purchasing and contracting


Credits: Participants will earn 7 CPE, .6 CEU, 6 Contact Hours

Attendance Policy: Our classroom training requires attendance during all parts of the instructional program. Instructors are required to take attendance and cannot approve student absences during class time. Please carefully consider your schedule when selecting class dates.
