This course provides an overview of the State of Georgia debt issuance process, the role of Georgia State Finance and Investment Commission in investing and disbursing bond proceeds, as well as the ratings agency process.

Course Outline

Please note there are two methods to register for this course. Click the Single Registration button to register and pay online. Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

  • explain why Georgia borrows money

  • discuss the debt issuance process including key roles, bond documents, and debt refundings

  • recall the process for approval of capital projects financed by debt including using eBONDS, managing the capital projects, and tracking resulting capital assets
