The University of Georgia Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant is offering a 3-day Basic Seafood Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) training course for seafood processors, packers, wholesalers, and importers. Under U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Georgia regulations, seafood companies are required to have at least one employee with seafood HACCP training or experience to develop and implement HACCP plans specifically for their product(s) and facility.
This Basic Seafood HACCP course will be held in the conference room of the UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant – Brunswick Station (715 Bay St., Brunswick, GA 31520).
Course Outline
WHEN: October 29-30, 2024 from 8:30AM to 5:30PM, AND October 31 from 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

Additional Information/Requirements:
- The course is taught in English.
- You must be present and fully participate during all 3 days to receive a HACCP certificate which will be emailed to you by the Association of Food and Drug Officials (www.afdo.org/seafoodhaccp).
- Upon completing your registration you will receive an emailed confirmation.
- Textbook costs are included in the registration fee and will be provided for use at the training site.
