We are excited to announce the 2023 Coastal Georgia Tourism Conference, which will take place at the Richmond Hill City Center  on Friday, November 3rd.  

The conference brings together businesses, tourism officials, government representatives, researchers and community organizations working in tourism and hospitality along Georgia’s coast. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other professionals while learning about current issues impacting coastal tourism and hospitality sectors. Presentations will address current industry and travel trends, regional ecotourism opportunities, visitor-based economic development, sustainable tourism plus excellent networking opportunities.

Who Should Attend?  

Business owners, tourism officials, local governmental representatives, elected officials, researchers and community organizations involved in tourism and hospitality along the Georgia coast 

Conference Objectives:  

  • Inform participants about current industry trends and future opportunities to support and sustain coastal Georgia’s tourism community 
  • Offer professional development and networking opportunities for tourism professionals 
  • Foster a sense of community and collaboration among coastal Georgia’s tourism community

Georgia’s tourism industry drives significant growth and prosperity for its local communities, generating more than $54 billion in economic impact. The conference, hosted by UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant, is designed to build a collaborative community of professionals focused on propelling the coastal tourism industry forward to provide jobs and support local economies in a sustainable and socially responsible manner.
