1157 | Native Plant Propagation

Learn the basics of propagating native wildflowers! The class will primarily focus on how to grow native perennials from seed, including seed dormancy classifications and treatments, as well as germination and early life care. We will also go over and practice dividing perennials and- time permitting- overview and practice rooting woody cuttings. Participants will leave with perennial divisions as well as several types of seeds to propagate at home. Time and weather permitting, we may walk around the Mimsie Lanier Center to collect woody cuttings and/or herbaceous perennials to divide, so please dress for the outdoors.
