From rockets to rollercoasters—don't just study the laws of physics, break them down. Forget the textbook—physics is alive, moving, and shaping the world around you. Physics is Fun is a high-energy, hands-on immersive experience designed for the curious mind. Whether you dream of being an engineer, an architect, an astronaut, or even a dancer, this camp reveals the invisible forces that power our lives. Led by Jackie Elder, this course moves fast. You won't just sit in a lecture; you will design, build, and test your own experiments to master the fundamentals of motion, energy, and electricity.

What You Will Experience:

  • Engineering & Motion: Design and launch your own Alkaseltzer rockets and engineer constant velocity cars to master speed and acceleration.
  • Forces & Power: Explore Newton's Laws with crash-course experiments and measure your own personal horsepower in our "Work & Power" lab.
  • Electricity & Innovation: Build real series and parallel circuits , construct powerful electromagnets , and light up the room in our electrical engineering challenges.
  • Real-World Connections: Go behind the scenes with a field trip to the Athens Water Treatment Plant to see fluid dynamics in action , and meet guest experts from Georgia Power to discuss the future of nuclear energy.

Why this Camp? Physics is the foundation of everything—from technology and medicine to sports and agriculture. Join us to build confidence, discover new career paths, and see the world in a completely new way.
