ICSR returns in 2024 to the southeastern United States, convening on Jekyll Island, Georgia.

The first ICSR was held in 1996. Since that time, it has been held all over the world from Canada to Scotland to Australia and stops in between, often meeting in the charming coastal city of Charleston, South Carolina, USA. Unique in its approach, ICSR is organized to allow interaction among participants forming collaborations and friendships that last a lifetime. Join our conference and meet shellfish experts from around the world. To start or update your registration by signing in.

The ICSR steering committee is still building the conference program. We're encouraging submissions from all walks of life, including researchers, community leaders, and natural resources managers. We're interested in understanding the different objectives for and outcomes of your projects, whether that's to restore shellfish populations and their ecosystem services, to reinvigorate fisheries, to support responsible shellfish aquaculture practices, or to learn from indigenous communities about cultural practices that support resiliency. Presentations related to shellfish restoration in a changing climate are also of great interest.
